Designer/Maker in Residence
Sean Feeney is the School's Designer/Maker in Residence and is a leading UK furniture maker, master craftsman and artisan, he teaches Furniture Design to the students every Friday and skilfully helps students translate their design ideas into their own design projects. Sean is one of the top designer/makers in the country and has his own bespoke furniture making business Sean Feeney Furniture.
He holds seven prestigious Bespoke Guild Marks and several top awards and has been a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers since 2004. He is also on the judging panel of the Bespoke Guild Mark and a Trustee of the Gordon Russell Museum in Broadway.
Students are taught not just how to translate their design ideas onto paper - from technical drawings through to watercolours for clients - but we also teach SketchUp a is a 3D modelling computer program for those who are more comfortable with a PC.
